A CTO thinking out loud
I’m Maks Danylenko. I’ve spent 14+ years building software, most of that leading engineering teams, and I write here as a CTO rather than for one.
What this is
A personal notebook. I use it to reason about things while they’re still unresolved: decisions I’m second-guessing, opinions I haven’t finished forming, patterns I keep seeing across teams and companies. Some of it holds up a year later. Some of it doesn’t, and that’s useful too.
What this isn’t
It isn’t my tech blog. That writing lives on the Mavka sites:

Mavka Review — AI code review, still being built
What lands here is the part that never fits a company blog: the judgment calls behind those write-ups, and the opinions I’d rather test in public than defend on a corporate page.
